SSAS and SQL Browser Service

After installing SSAS 2014 on maching running SSAS 2012. SSAS 2012 became unresponsive and the ETL job crashed. The message was:

Microsoft.analysisservices.xmla.CONNECTIONEXCEPTION: a connection cannot be made TO redirector. ensure that ‘SQL Browser’ service IS running. -> system.net.sockets.SOCKETEXCEPTION: no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:2382 at system.net.sockets.tcpclient..ctor(string hostname, int32 port) at microsoft.analysisservices.xmla.xmlaclient.gettcpclient(connectioninfo connectioninfo)

Ensure that 'SQL Browser' service is running

It is important to remember that SSAS can be accessed through SQL Browser Service.
I went to SQL Server Configuration Manager (Start > Search > > Configuration Manager). I found the SQL Browser Service has stopped and that has caused the problem. So I started it again:

SSAS Enable SQL Browser Service
